Vicki Lou Jones was born October 9, 1947 to Wilbert and Delores (Grate) Haywood in Des Moines, Iowa. She married Charles Jones on May 2, 1964. Vicki worked as a journal editor for the House of Representatives at the Capital for 12 years. After retiring in 2010, Vicki bought a Harley that she loved to ride on warm, sunny days. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, bar-b-q'ing and volunteering when she could.

Vicki passed away March 23, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines at 66 years of age.

Vicki is survived by her son, Brian (Malissia) Jones, of Nevada; her daughter, Lisa Jones, of Glendale, Arizona; four grandchildren, Joshua Jones, Ash Jones-Smith, Barron Jones and Benji Jones; two great-grandchildren, Gavin Smith and London Smith; and five sisters, Shirley (Harold) Van Horn, Evelyn (Jim) Snapp, Barb Norlan, Judy Litchfield and Jodi Snyder.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
