Rites set for Ira N. Vail

Ira N. Vail, 80, Nevada, died about 9:50 p.m. Thursday* at Story County Hospital.

Born in Henry County, Ill., Mr. Vail had been a Story County resident for the past 66 years.

He was a farmer in the Fernald-Zearing community until he retired and moved into a Nevada nursing home about two years ago.

Mr. Vail was a member of the Methodist Church.

He is survived by a son, Luther Vail of Scottsbluff, Neb.; two granddaughters and a great grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable, in 1965 and by an infant son and brother.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday from Ryan Funeral Home, with the Rev. M. C. Schupe, pastor of the Nevada Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.
