Fernald woman died Tuesday

Mrs. Ira Vail, 81, Fernald, died Tuesday* at 8:30 a.m. at the Story County Hospital following a stroke.

She was born Nov. 17, in Jones County. She had been a resident of Story County for 65 years. She was a member of the Nevada Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband; a son Luther C., Scotts Bluff, Neb.; two granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Robert Link officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
