Jay Harmon died Saturday

Jay Harmon, 79, a lifelong resident of Maxwell, died at his farm home Saturday.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; two sons, Harold and James, both of Maxwell; four step children, Irving Bell, Santa Ana, Calif.; Mrs. Estelene Dawson, Ames; Melvin Bell, Maxwell and Howard Bell, Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Mable Hansen; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Ankney Baptist church with the Rev. John Polson and Rev. A. D. Mohr officiating.

The body will lie in state at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell until time of services.
