Rites set for J. G. Berka

Funeral services for Jerry G. Berka, 66, Nevada, who died at the Story County Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. E. P. Windman, retired pastor of the Memorial Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

Mr. Berka was born in 1899, the son of Louis A. and Mary Berka. He had been a Story Coutny resident all of his life.

He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the American Legion, and a retired postal employe.

Mr. Berka is survived by his wife, Emmeretta; two brother, Molo, Lake Alfreo, Fla., and Harry, Waterloo; two sisters, Louise Berka, Iowa City, and Mrs. Joe Erikson, Eldon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters adn a brother.
