Henry Walter Kuhn
Sept. 30, 1906, to June 7, 2002

Henry Walter Kuhn, 95, of Nevada, died of renal failure on Friday, June 7, at Story County Medical Center in Nevada.

He was born Sept. 30, 1906, in Fernald to Oscar and Anice (Apple) Kuhn. He married Alice Gregory on Dec. 18, 1943, in Ames. He retired in 1971 from Donnelley Marketing in Nevada. He was the founder of the Senior Citizens Bowling League in Nevada and enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, traveling and being with grandchildren. He was a lifelong resident of Nevada.

Survivors include his wife, Alice, of Nevada; three sons, James Kuhn of Stewartville, Minn.; Ken Kuhn of Des Moines and Tim Kuhn of Slater; a daughter, Kay Danielsen of Ames; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Shirley Mayo and Linda Sickels; one brother; and four sisters.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 10, at Chet Ryan Mortuary with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial followed in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.
