NEVADA MOTHER DIED AT HOSPITAL

MRS. GILBERT PIERCE PASSED AWAY THIS MORNING AT IOWA CITY.

Mrs. Gilbert Pierce, age 34 years and the mother of 6 children, the eldest of whom is 11 years, died this morning at the State hospital at Iowa City, where she was taken a week ago, and on Saturday submitted to an operation for gall bladder trouble.

As soon as the operation had been performed it was realized that she was in a critical condition and the relatives were notified. Her husband and her brother, Blaine Corbin, went down Sunday and a message was received at 9:00 this morning saying that she had passed away.

The body will be brought back to Nevada, arriving here this evening but as yet no arrangements have been made for the funeral.

Mrs. Pierce was the eldest daughter of Mrs. Wilbur N. Corbin.

The case is a very sad one. The husband was confined to Iowa sanitarium for several weeks, having been released but a short time ago and will have to to back later. He was suffering from trouble with one of his eyes.
