Services Friday for Mrs. Butler

Mrs. Eva Louise Butler, Ames, 93, died Wednesday at Oak Park Manor, Nevada.

Services are Friday at 1:30 p.m. form Steven Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Henry Hackman of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial is to be in the Collins Cemetery.

Mrs. Butler was born Nov. 10, 1880 in Linton, Ind. She married James Butler in August, 1909 and taught school in Collins, McCallsburg and Cambridge. Mrs. Butler came to Ames in 1930. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are a son, the Rev. Ellis H. Butler, Minneapolis, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. LaVern Paulson of 509 Ninth St., Mrs. B. E. Mortensen, Ballston Lake, N.Y. and Mrs. Edward Vanden Oever, Portland, Ore.; a son-in-law, Dr. Charles Davis, Phoenix, Aris.; three sisters, Mrs. A. J. Haas, Ames; Mrs. Margaret Bilney, Woodward, and Carrie Hattery, Woodward; two brother, Ralph Hattery, Colfax and John Hattery, Nevada; 16 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter.

Friends may call at Stevens Memorial Chapel Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m.
