Michael Edward Carlsen was born May 30, 1962 to Lowell E. and Carol A. (Pierce) Carlsen in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Michael enjoyed being on the computer, telling jokes and had a very tender heart. He loved animals and would even have his dog ride with him on his motorcycle.

Michael passed away October 25, 2013 at 51 years of age.

Michael is survived by his mother, Carol Carlsen of Madrid; his daughter, Tasha Armstrong; two brothers, Rick Carlsen and Randy Joe Carlsen; his nieces, Nicole Anne Carlsen and Britani Lee; and his nephew, Adam Watts.

He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Ben and Christine Pierce and Walt and Doris Carlsen; his uncles, Marvin Carlsen and Larry Carlsen; and his aunts, Lorraine Severson, Mabel Carlsen, Audrey Carlsen and Mary Carlsen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
