Innie Handsaker dies at age 73, rites Tuesday

Mrs. Guy Handsaker, Rt. 2, Nevada, died Saturday morning at the Story City Hospital at the age of 73. She had been a patient in the hospital for the past seven weeks and had been ill for about four years.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Mead, she was born in Story County April 18, 1895. She was married to J. Guy Handsaker near Fernald at the Church of the Brethren on September 29, 1915 and continued to live in Story County the rest of her life.

Survivors include her husband, Guy; one son, Ronald Handsaker of Ames, and two grandsons.

Funeral services will be at the Nevada Christian Church Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. William A. Knight officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery. Friends may call until noon Tuesday.

A memorial fund has been established.
