WILL HEMSTOCK DIED AT IOWA CITY

CANCER THE CAUSE OF DEATH OF WELL KNOWN FARMER OF COUNTY.

Will P. Hemstock, age about 59, died yesterday afternoon at two o'clock, at the state hospital at Iowa City, where he had been for treatment for some time. Mr. Hemstock had been a sufferer from a cancer for some years and it was this that caused his death. His wife who had been at home on a brief business trip, arrived there but a few hours before death. His other brother, Arthur V. Hemstock was with him also.

The body, accompanied by the wife and brother, will arrive here this evening at six o'clock over the Northwestern and will be taken immediately to the A. V. Hemstock home on Eighth street, where it will remain pending the funeral. Definite arrangements for the funeral have not been made as yet.

Mr. Hemstock, for many years a well known farmer of the county, had been in declining health for the past couple of years or more. he leaves his wife, two sons Thomas and Donald and daughter Mayme, besides the two brothers, Arthur V., of this city and Berney B. of Des Moines.
