F. C. Karges Dies at Mary Greeley Hospital Thursday

Ferdinand C. Karges, 1105 Lincoln Way, Nevada, died late Thursday afternoon at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames, after an illness of three weeks.

Mr. Karges, who had lived in Nevada for the past forty years had engaged in farming and also in more recent yars had operated an oil-tank wagon service throughout Story County.

Born in St. Jacobs, Illinois, he was sixty five years old at the time of his death.

Mr. Karges leaves besides his wife, Mrs. Dora Karges, two sisters, Mrs. William Lambert of Reno, Nevada and Mrs. Arnold Schmidt of Avoca, Iowa, besides a host of friends over Story and adjoining counties.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, March 12, at 2:30 at the Memorial Lutheran Church with burial in the Nevada cemetery.
