Elmer Johnson rites Friday

Elmer Johnson, 110 E. Ninth St., died about 10 p.m. Tuesday at Mary Greeley Hospital where he has been a patient for two and a half weeks. He was 76 years old.

A resident of Ames for 27 years, he was a retired restaurant operator. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the First Christian Church here.

He is survived by his wife Mary, and five brothers all living in Kansas.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. from the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial will be at the Nevada Cemetery.
