Harold "Barney" Mullihan
September 18, 1929 - April 18, 2013

Harold "Barney" Mullihan died on Thursday, April 18, 2013 in Milford, Iowa. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 22 at 4:30 p.m. at Schuchert Funeral Home in Spirit Lake, Iowa with a memorial service to follow at 6:30. A visitation will also be held at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth Street in Nevada, Iowa on Tuesday, April 23 at 4:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 p.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Barney was born on September 18, 1929 in Mingo, Iowa to Ivan and Mabel (Streeter) Mullihan. He graduated from Collins High School in 1947. He was a farmer and a truck driver, and he retired from Donnelley Marketing in Nevada.

Barney is survived by his wife Marilyn, his children Vicki Keagle of Urbandale, Mike Mullihan of Urbandale, Peggy Evans and her husband John of Collins, Nancy Hermanson and her husband Roger of Story City, their mother Doris Dickel of Ankeny, his stepson Ken Ferguson and his wife Cherie of Spirit Lake, his step daughter-in-law Janice Ferguson of Terril, 9 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 16 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Ruth and Fay, his stepson Hal Ferguson, and his daughter-in-law Cathy Mullihan.
