IRA THORSON

Funeral services for Ira Thorson, 79, Story City, were held Jan. 27 from the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City, with the Rev. I. A. Gisselquist officiating.

Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Thorson died Jan. 24 at the Story City Hospital. He was born in Morris, Ill. and came to Story City a the age of 16. He married GBertrude Teig in 1923 and farmed west of Story City the rest of his life.

Mr. Thorson is survived by his wife; two sons, James of Jewell and Irvin of Leland, three daughters, Mrs. Betty Swanson, Omaha; Mrs. Beverly Petzenhauser, Auburn, and Mrs. Joyce Hanson, Jewell, 19 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
