Esther Lehman rites are Tuesday

Mrs. Esther Caroline Lehman, 71, Story City, died at 2:15 a.m. Sunday* at Mary Greeley Hospital.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Grace United Methodist Church, Story City, with the Rev. Paul Beckman officiating. Burial will be in Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Mrs. Lehman was born Jan. 29, 1899 at Winona, Minn. She was married to Harley Lehman Nov. 25, 1926. He preceded her in death July 1, 1969.

The couple farmed near Northwood, until they retired and moved to Story City about three years ago.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Frandsen, Roland; Mrs. Edith Anderson, Gilbert, and Mrs. Marjorie Vogler, Rock Port, Mo.; two sons, Harley R. Lehman, Jr., Webster City and Charles R. Lehman, Northwood; 14 grandchildren; and a brother, Theodore Koetz, Rochester, N.Y.; and three sisters, Mrs. Lisette Wachs, Winona, Minn., Mrs. Huldah Horton, Escondito, Calif., and Mrs. Ornetta Gummert, St. Petersburg, Fla.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Frank W. and Lisette Koetz; three brothers, and a sister.

The body will lie in state at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City.
