Harley Lehman
Funeral services for Harley Raymond Lehman were held at the Grace United Methodist church in Story City on July 3, 1969. Rev Paul R. Beckman officiated with Rev. Norbert Jolivette of Jewell assisting.
Mrs. Dorrel Doolittle was organist. Mr. and Mrs. Harris Twedt, Jr., sang a duet, "Beyond the Sunset" and Mr. Harris sang, "How Great Thou Art."
Casket bearers were Everett Anderson, T. M. Holm, William Peterson, Ralph Brown, L. B. Brattebo and B. M. Howell.
Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.
Harley Lehman was born on November 13, 1891 at Fort Dodge, Iowa and died on July 1 at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames, following a short illness.
On November 25, 1926, he was married to Esther C. Koetz of Winona, Minn. Mrs. Lehman survives along with two sons, Harley R. Lehman, Jr., of Webster City and Charles R. Lehman of Northwood and three daughters, Mrs. Jack Frandsen of Roland, Mrs. Kenneth Anderson of Gilbert and Mrs. Curtis Volger of Rock Port, Mo. Thirteen grandchildren and two brothers, Fred G. Lehman and R. Marvin Lehman both of Thompson, also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Lehman was a veteran of World War I, a 50 year member of the American Legion and a member of the Grace United Methodist church of Story City.
