MRS. PEARL BOYD NELSON

STORY CITY -- Mrs. Pearl Viola Boyd Nelson, daughter of Erick and Minnie Boyd, was born Aug. 10, 1911 in Story City and died at Reno, Nev., Nov. 6, 1965.

She was 54 years old at the time of her death.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by three sons, Gene of rural Ames, Donald, Reno, Nev., and Robert of Las Cruzes, N. M.; a daughter, Mrs. LaDonna Andrews, also of Reno, Nev.; a brother, Mervin Boyd, Albert Lea, Minn., and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard T. Nelson, who was killed Oct. 4, 1944 during World War II, four brothers and a sister.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10 from the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, with the Rev. Harold T. Masted officiating. Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.
