STORY CITY--C.L. Johnson, 80, stock buyer in and around Story City for 50 years, until his retirement, died at 11:30 a. m. Monday* at Iowa Lutheran hospital, Des Moines, after a five-day illness.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p. m. in Immanuel Lutheran church. Burial will be in Story City cemetery. The Rev. Ivar Havneros will be in charge.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife about two years ago. Survivors are two sons, Chelsea, Newton and Howard, Story City; two daughters, Minnie (Mrs. Robert Larimer), Newton and Marjorie (Mrs. Vern Norlin), Ames; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Hans, El Segundo, Calif., and Jim, Blue Earth, Minn.; two sisters, Mollie (Mrs. Martin Nelson), Huxley, and Mrs. Trina Enes, Gilbert.
