Obituary.

GEORGE BRIGGS KOOSER, was born in Summersett county, Penn. May 19, 1834 and died at his home in Ames, Iowa Nov. 26, 1896.

He came to Story county, Iowa in 1856. He was married to Margaret E. Baucher, April 2, 1756. He lived thirty-five years on the same farm in Milford township. He moved from the farm to his home in Ames in the spring of 1895. He leaves a beloved wife and family of eleven children; seven boys and four girls, mourn the loss of a kind father, Sadie being the youngest. All the children live in the county except one. 8 of them are married and in homes of their own. There are ten grandchildren. He united with the Methodist church at Bloomington, twenty-seven years ago; afterwards he transferred his letter to the Methodist church at Pleasant Grove of which he is still a member.

The illness of their beloved father called and the children home. They had never been at home together before, because living so near each other they had never felt that home was far away. God grant that they may all meet again together with their father, around the Great White Throne.
