Carl Joseph Holland, 26, Story City, was electrocuted Tuesday evening when he accidentally came in contact with a power line while working for the Knox Construction Company. The Company is engaged in putting up new electrical poles and lines in the south part of Story City.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from St. Petri Lutheran Church with the Rev. Rhuben O. Aga officiating. Burial will be in Story City.

Mr. Holland was born Oct. 16, 1943 at Story City.

He was married to Colleen Mortenson March 17, 1962.

He served in the United States Navy from 1962 until 1964.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carleen Renae and Cathleen Elizabeth; a son, Carl Joseph, Jr., all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holland, Story City; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn VanSickle and William Mayer, all of Story City.
