Josephine Skogerboe
Josephine Skogerboe, 87, of Red Oak, Iowa and formerly of Randall, died Jan. 15, 2002 of heart failure at the Red Oak Rehabilitation and Care Center in Red Oak. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 19, at 10:30 a.m. at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City with the Rev. Jim Norem officiating. Burial was at the Story City Cemetery.
Jospehine Skogerboe was born Nov. 14, 1914 in Hendrum, Minnesota, to Ole and Anna (Krogness) Mjosness. She lived most of her life in the Randall area until moving to Red Oak in 1990. She married Ernest Skogerboe on Oct. 26, 1939. He died on Nov. 20, 1987. She was a homemaker and worked at Friley Hall at Iowa State University. She was a member of Elim Lutheran Church in Randall.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol Ann Carlson of Stanton, Iowa; one son, Noel Brandon Skogerboe of Everett, Washington; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Arnold Mjosness of Moorhead, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son, Jerald.
