Story City Mourns Death of Oldest Male Rsident

Story City, May 4--T. T. Sande, 97, years of age on April 7, and thought to be the oldest man in the Story City community, died at 2:30 a.m. today at this home here after an illness of 10 days. Mr. Sande had lived 63 of his 97 years in this community and had retired from the old homestead, southeast of Story City 26 years ago and moved into Story City. Mrs. Sande died 7 years ago and he is survived by sons, I. T. Sande, Alfred Sande and Elmer Sande and one daughter, Miss Julia Sande, all of this community. The funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 o'clock, at the Bethel Lutheran church, with Rev. Bringle in charge, preceded by prayer service at the home at 1:30. Burial will be in the Roland cemetery.

T. T. Sande, 97 years of age, died at his home in Story City May 4, after a ten-day illness. He had resided in Story City the past 28 years since retiring from the farm.

He is survived by three sons, I. T. Sande, Alfred Sande and Elmer Sande and one daughter, Miss Julia Sande, all of Story City.

Funeral services were held at the Bethel Lutheran church in Story City Saturday afternoon, May 6, with the Rev. A. J. Bringle in charge, and interment was in the Roland cemetery.
