Soren P. Christiansen Died Sunday at Home Near Zearing
Zearing, Oct. 23--Soren P. Christiansen, 68, passed away Sunday morning just before noon at his home five and a half miles south east of Zearing. He was taken ill the previous Thursday with a heart attack.
Funeral arrangements are pending word from relatives in Canada.
Mr. Christiansen is survived by his wife and by a son, Clarence Christiansen, farm bureau extension worker at Davenport who was home recuperating from a surgical operation, and a foster daughter who now lives in California.
Mr. Christiansen, a native of Story County, had lived practically his entire life in the Story City community moving to Zearing a few years ago.

Funeral Services--Funeral services were held in Grace Evangelical church, Story City Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 25, for Sern P. Christiansen, 68, of Zearing, who died at the Story City Hospital Sunday morning. Rev. C. L. Fuller of Zearing was in charge of the service. Burial was in the Fairview cemetery.
Mr. Christiansen was brought to the hospital Friday evening, suffering from an infection in the blood stream. The deceased was born on the Christiansen homestead southwest of Story City and spent most of his life here. The past four years he had famed near Zearing. Surviving are his wife; a son, Clarence, of Zearing; a daughter, Mrs. T. A. Griset, of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, Charles of Huxley; and two sisters, Ida of Ames and Mamie of Mason City.
