CARL OLOI JACOBSON

Carl Oloi Jacobson, son of Ole and Kari Jacobson was born June 20, 1881 near Rosendale and passed away Wednesday morning, December 25, 1957, at his home in Story City. Mr. Jacobson had been in failing health for the past 2 years. He had reached the age of 76 years 6 months and 5 days.

He was confirmed in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church northwest of Story City by the Rev. Baard Mikkelson and continued as a faithful member until he moved to Story City. Here he was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church to the time of his passing. On January 28, 1925, he was united in marriage to Lizzie Olson. They spent their married life on a farm west of Story City until 9 years ago when they retired and moved into Story City.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Lizzie, on daughter, Lorraine, one sister, Mrs. Bertena Frette of Story City and one half sister, Mrs. Lena Beckley of Nevada, as well as many nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 27, 1:00 p. m. of Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. H. T. Masted in charge.

Mrs. Wm. Larson and Mr. Gay L. Johnson sang two numbers. Pall bearers were Otis Frette, Henry Jacobson, Clifford Boe, Oscar Sunnoe, Herman Olson, Ole Jacobson. Burial was in the Story City cemetery.
