Ray E. Anderson
July 28, 1948 - February 9, 2011

Ray E. Anderson, 62 of Collins died on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at his residence. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 12 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Collins. The family will receive friends following the committal service from 12 - 2 p.m. at the Memorial Lutheran Church Chapel, 701 11th Street in Nevada. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. in the Sanctuary of the Memorial Lutheran Church.

Ray was born on July 28, 1948 in Ames to Milton B. (Mickey) and Geraldine L. (Anderson) Anderson. He was a 1967 graduate of Nevada High School. He was baptized, confirmed and a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada. On June 13, 1976, Ray married Lynn J. Clark at the Collins Christian Church. He had been employed at Donnelley Marketing and in automobile sales. Ray was a member of Kiwanis and Indian Creek Country Club.

Ray is survived by his wife Lynn of Collins; numerous nieces, nephew, aunts and uncles.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Nina Van Patten, and a brother Milton E. Anderson.

A memorial fund has been established in Ray's name.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Ray and his family.
Service:

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 in the Sanctuary of the Memorial Lutheran Church, 701 11th Street in Nevada.

Cemetery:

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Collins, IA
