Hubbard, Iowa

Shirley Kusserow, 72, of Hubbard, formerly of Ackley, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011, at Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard.

Shirley was born April 13, 1939, in Eldora to Arnie Daleske and Gladys Rolson. She worked for the Red Rooster in Iowa Falls as a cook and enjoyed fishing, cooking and baking and in earlier years going to Minnesota with her parents.

Shirley is survived by her son, Scott (Marsha) Kusserow of Steamboat Rock; her brother, Wayne Daleske of Eldora; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Forrest in 1999; and one son, Craig in 1981.

Per Shirley's wishes, she has been cremated and no services are planned.

Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory in Nevada is handling arrangements.
