Carl Joseph Conway December 6, 1925 - December 15, 2008

A joint memorial service is planned for our parents on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. A private burial service will be in Carroll.

Barb was born to Roy and Marion Gill in Cambridge, Iowa.

Carl was born to Roy and Josephine Conway in Carroll, Iowa.

Barb and Carl were married on May 22, 1948.

They raised five children in Carroll, Iowa. Survivors include daughter Virginia "Ginny" Brannan of Ames; daughter Jane Peoples of Boone; daughter Ruth and husband Dave Schroeder of Council Bluffs; son Mike & Kim Conway of Spencer; grandchildren Michael Kroeger of Carroll; Matthew Kroeger of Iowa City; Beth Brannan of Boone; Jill and Josh Schroeder of Council Bluffs; and Chris Peoples of Boone; and five great-grandchildren.

Barb and Carl were preceded in death by one daughter Mary Jo Kroeger; their brothers and sisters; Barb is survived by one sister, Ada Reisselman of Carroll; and nieces and nephews.

They enjoyed playing cards, fishing and spending time with family and they will be missed by everyone.
