Helen Woldruff-Hepburn

BORN: January 23, 1918

DIED: December 20, 2011

LOCATION: Wakarusa, Indiana

Helen M. Woldruff Hepburn, 93, of Wakarusa, IN, formerly of Goshen, IN, Ames, IA, and Mesa, AZ passed away Dec. 20 in Wakarusa. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23 at Adams Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Helen was born January 23, 1918 in Hopkins, Missouri to Henry and Amy (Lawler) Morehouse. She was a former school teacher and secretary for the City of Ames City Manager. Helen married Russell Woldruff, July 17, 1939. He preceded her in death April 17, 2003. She married Don Hepburn, February 28, 2006. Helen enjoyed golf, spending time in the kitchen, and her family.

Her survivors include her husband, Don Hepburn; son, Scott (Judy) Woldruff of Elkhart, IN; daughter, Marcia (Michael) Aicher of Beaverton, OR; grandchildren, Angie (Wes)Hahn of Mishawaka, IN, Sara (Matt) Zigich of Pinckney, MI, Katie Hartman of Elkhart, and Trevor Arias of Vancouver, WA; great grandson, Caleb Zigich of Pinckney, MI; step-daughters, Donna Willis of Chapel Hill, NC and Ruth Ann (Bonnie) Hepburn of LaSelva Beach, CA.

She was preceded in death by her first husband; sister, Cleo Mutti; and brother, Don Morehouse.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Goshen or First United Methodist Church of Goshen.

Adams Funeral Home, Ames and Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home in Wakarusa, Indiana assisted the family with arrangements.
