Florence Mary Klein

BORN: June 23, 1934

DIED: December 18, 2011

LOCATION: Randall, Iowa

Florence Mary Klein was born June 23, 1934 to John and Grace (Miner) Holdgrafer in Williams, Iowa. She graduated Williams High School in 1952 and married Richard L. Klein on March 28, 1953 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Florence worked for Louis Rich as a farm manager raising turkeys. She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Story City Legion Auxiliary, and enjoyed canning, sports, and attending her grandchildren's activities.

Florence passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames at 77 years of age.

Florence is survived by two sons, Richard Jr. (Edna) Klein of Des Moines and Gary (Melissa) Klein of Ellsworth; two daughters, Linda Klein of Story City and Lana (Dan) Engstrom of Story City; her brother Dennis Holdgrafer of Williams; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son Bob Klein; two brothers, Butch Holdgrafer and Jim Holdgrafer; and two sisters Dorothy Van Langen and Margaret Bolden.
