Helen Twit

August 5, 1914 - January 18, 2012

Madrid, Iowa

Helen was born August 5, 1914 to Delbert and Mabel Frazier near Hayfield, Minnesota. On April 11, 1933 she married Hubert H. Twit of Slater. Helen was a dedicated homemaker and help-mate on the farm. She was a great cook and loved entertaining family and friends. There was no place of greater warmth than Helen's kitchen. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and sewing quilts. A member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, she was active in Ladies' Aide and the Love and Hope Circles. She was also a member of the JU Club.

Survivors include two sons, A. David (Darla) Twit of Johnston, and Robert (Vicki) Twit of Ames; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Dale Sampson; her parents; step-father, Roy Cline; two sisters, Ruth Severson and Darlene Hines; four brothers, Earl Frazier, Glen, Darrell, and Robert Cline.

The family would like to thank the Madrid Home staff and Dr. Testroet for their patience and love in caring for Helen.
