Alice Elizabeth Malmquist

BORN: November 7, 1919

DIED: January 18, 2012

LOCATION: Ames, Iowa

Alice E. Malmquist, 92, of Ames, died January 18, 2012 at Bethany Manor. Visitation is 6:30 - 8 p.m. Friday, January 20 at First Evangelical Free Church in Ames. Funeral services are 3 p.m. Saturday, January 21, also at the church.

Alice was born November 7, 1919, in Grantsburg, Wisconsin to Robert and Anna (Lundgren) Erickson.
She married Winston Malmquist June 16, 1945. They lived in Ames while Winston was employed at the National Animal Disease Center, then went on veterinary research assignments under the USDA to Denmark and East Africa for 6 ½ years. They were among the charter members of the First Evangelical Free Church on Ames, organized in 1963.

Alice is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Schmidt of Memphis, TN and Susan, and husband Victor Cavender, of Odessa, Missouri.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Winston, December 25, 1991 and by two sisters in Wisconsin.

Memorials may be made to the First Evangelical Free Church for overseas missions or to Bethany Life in Story City.
