Julia Henderson

DIED: January 21, 2012

LOCATION: Boone, Iowa

Julia Ann Henderson 68, of rural Boone passed away at her home on Saturday January 21, Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 26, at 10:30 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Ames with a visitation Wednesday January 25, from 5-7 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home.

Julia was born December 25, 1943 in Glendale, CA. to Fritz and Sylvia (Jessen)Beirman. She was married to Lewis Henderson on October 27, 1962. Julia retired from Iowa State University were she worked in the Admissions office for many years, she very much enjoyed retirement and spending her winters in Apache Junction, AZ. Julia loved reading, cooking and collecting antiques she also enjoyed going to her grandson Jake's sporting
events.

Julia is survived by her husband; one son, Richard Henderson of Queens Creek, AZ. one daughter, Michelle Carter of Ames, her only grandson and best buddy, Jacob "Jake" Carter; two brothers, Harold (Maureen) Beirman, Roger Beirman and one sister, Connie (Bob) Giebel and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ron Beirman.
