Mrs. Dorcas Kingsbury, an old and highly respected resident of this city died Sunday morning at four o'clock after a long illness from a complication of diseases. She was sixty-nine years old and had been a resident of Ames about five years having previously lived in Grant township on a farm east of town, where she was one of the earliest settlers. She was the widow of the late Henry Kingsbury. She leaves two sons, Horatio and Ernest, and a daughter Myra Kingsbury. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist church.
