Word has been received that Frank Paddock had just died at his home in Union, Oregon. He married Miss Aggie Cook, a daughter of Mrs. Dr. P. Cook of this city several years since and went to the locality where they have since made their home. They were quite well known to our people all of whom extend to the bereaved ones their sympathy in this their hour of trouble.

Death of Frank Paddock

Frank Paddock, age 45 years, 4 months and 10 days, died suddenly at his home in Union, Sunday night, about twelve o'clock, of acute indigestion, and was buried under the auspices of La Grande Lodge No. 433, B. P. O. E., at 11 a. m. Tuesday.

Mr. Paddock had been in poor health for some time, and but recently came up from Vale for a short rest and a visit with his wife and other relatives. Sunday night about midnight he was taken ill, and died within twenty minutes, though physicians were summoned promptly.

Frank Paddock was one of the Paddock brothers, of Union, and was well known all over the valley, having resided at Le Grande also for about three years.

He leaves a wife and adopted son of his immediate family, to mourn his death.

Frank Padddock was married to Miss Agnes Cook in Nevada, Iowa, in 1888. He was once a member of the firm the Paddock Bros., emgration agents, of South Dakota, who sent hundreds of families to the northwest. He moved from South Dakota to Oregon in 1895, and was in the real estate business in Union for some time. He was a kind husband and had many friends in this section. He was a member of La Grande Lodge No. 433, B. P. O. E.--Union, Oregon Republican.
