Another old citizen, patriot and friend is gone. J. P. Mullihan died at his home south of town Sunday last at 9 o'clock in the evening.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: According to WPA Records, James P. Mullihan was born 22 October 1844 and died 8 January 1905 and was buried in Franklin Cemetery, Polk County, Iowa. He was married to Adeline F. Snyder 16 March 1873 in Polk County, Iowa. She is buried in the same cemetery with him.
