On Wednesday of last week Wm. Crouthermal* died after a very brief illness. The funeral was held on Sunday and under the direction of Rev. Yeager of the Congregational church, after which the remains were interred in the cemetery just east of town.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Obviously this should be Mrs. William Crouthamel. Emma (Serf) Crouthamel was born 7 September 1854 and died 4 January 1905 in Gilbert, Story County, Iowa.
