DIED.--Bessie Maud, daughter of George W. and Frances Boyd, died March 11, 1900, at their home in Nevada, Iowa. She was 19 years 8 months and 5 days old, having been born July 6, 1880. She was born in the same room in shich she died. She attended the public school, Sunday school, and was a member of the Epworth League. She was a fine student as long as her health would permit. She was a devoted, loving and obedient daughter, and ever ready to say a kind word for those around her. All who knew her loved her. She was recently converted and was ready to meet death. She said, "There is not a shadow or cloud between me and my God." She was ever ready to testify and confess her Lord and Master before her friends father and brothers. She suffered pain but would never murmur or complain, and was happy when--
The bright Angel came in the darkness of night,
And bore her sweet spirit home
To the mansion above where all is love,
Where no pain nor sorrow can come. She leaves a father, mother and three brothers, Earl, Ed, and Orvil and other relatives and many friends to morn her loss.
The funeral services were held at the M. E. church Tuesday, services by Rev. Bunce assisted by Rev. Brown. The attendance was very large, a large number of them being her school mates in Nevada schools. The song services was by our young people who did excellent singing and the floral display was of the best.
