Rosa Belle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Dewey, was born in Grand View, South Dakota, December 19th, 1886, and came with her parents to Story county, Iowa in 1894. In 1895 they moved to Rhodes, Marshall county, where she resided until her death March 10, 1900. She was 13 years 2 months and 19 days old. The funeral was held Sunday at the M. P. church in Rhodes where she had attended school and endeavor, Rev. Nick officiating. She was a favorite among her friends and classmates both in public school and Sabbath school and was loved an esteemed by all who knew her.
