Diphtheria is somewhat prevalent in localities through the country but as a rule it has not been dangerous. In the case of A. T. Knight it has been serious the first week having lost two daughters by the dread disease. Jessie aged 8 years and Viola aged 14. They were buried together Wednesday in the cemetery. This is a severe blow to the parents, who live just north-west of this city, and our people extend to them sympathy in this their hour of affiction. Others of the family are down with the disease but all appear to be getting better and it is thought are in no danger at this time.
