Some weeks since we noticed that Mr. S. McConnell had gone to the southeastern part of the state on a visit. He had been sick for some time, and on Wednesday of last week it resulted in his death, at Davenport. The remains were brought here the present week. He was a young man of promise and it is a hard blow to his young wife, and his parents.
