Jos. Middough, who has been ill for months past of a cancer died Wednesday morning. He was a member of the G. A. R. Post in this place and was buried with the usual honors of the order yesterday.

To Commander and Comrades of Jason D. Ferguson G. A. R. Post, No. 31, Department of Iowa:
Your special committee appointed on the death of Comrade Joseph Meddeaugh, late of 36 Reg't Iowa Inf't, respectfully report as follows, that,
WHEREAS, the Supreme Commander has transferred Comrade Joseph Meddaugh from this Post the Grand Encampment above and has taken away a husband and father, therefore
Resolved, That this Post tender to the bereaved widow and family our sympathy and condolence for their loss and that the Adjutant furnish the widow a copy of this resolution.
