From Story County Watchman March 14, 1884

DIED:--At the residence of his son, Wm. Woods, in Sherman township, Mr. Wm. Woods, aged 67 years 3 months and 15 days.

He was born in Westmoreland, Pa., and removed to Iowa over 30 years ago, and came to Story county eight years since. He was quite well known in the eastern part of the county, where he was highly esteemed for his many sterling qualities. His sermon was preached on Friday last at Colo by Rev. F. D. Funk.
