SUDDEN DEATH
On last Friday a young laddy by the name of Emma L. Miller, died very suddenly at the residence of C. Robinson in this city.
By request Mr. Robinson, Coroner Boggess summoned a jury and held an inquisition over the body, a post mortem examination was made by Drs. Scott and Schooler,-- discovered that her death was caused from the effect of two fatty tumors growing on the right oricle of the heart.
Miss Miller was about 22 years of age. She came from Marshalltown to this city the first of last September, and has made her home at Mr. Robinson's ever since. It is supposed that her friends live at or near New Hampton, Chickasaw county, this State, but all efforts to reach them by telegram failed.
Owing to certain dark rumors that some persons more suspicious than wise have circulated. It is due to Mr. and Mrs. Robinson to say that they have acted the part of the good Samaritans, doing all that was possible for the homeless girl during her hours sickness, and that they treated her remains in a becoming and christian-like manner. The burial service was held at their house on Sabbath afternoon Rev. --- officiating, after which the remains were conveyed to our cemetery.
