From The Watchman [Nevada] - September 2, 1898

DIED - At the parental home one mile and a half west of McCallsburg, August 29, Leo, daughter of W. H. Smith and Mary A. Smith, of inflammation of the bowels after an illness of only six days. The funeral was conducted on Tuesday afternoon by Rev. R. A. Ferguson of Maxwell. The music was furnished by the McCallsburg choir. The remains were prepared by undertaker Belknap and brought to Nevada from whence they were shipped to the old home near Decatur, Ill., where they were buried. Mr. Smith accompanied them and will look after the interment. The family have the sympathy of that community in their bereavement.
