From The Watchman [Nevada] - September 2, 1898

DIED - At his residence in this city on Saturday last at the age of seventy-seven years, seven months and twenty seven days, Mr. Wm. Kelly. About one month since his wife departed this life and he now followed her to the spirit land where partings shall be no more. The last rites were held at Johnson's Grove by Rev. Shrader. Mr. Kelly was one of the oldest settlers of this county and always stood high in the esteem of his neighbors and all with whom he came in contact. He had nine children, all of whom are living save one, who passed on before. He leaves thirty one grand children and seven great grand children to mourn his loss, besides sons and daughters.
