Beverly Mae Easter, 67, died Monday, August 9, 2010 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. She was born January 29, 1943 in Beverly Hills, California to Alice (Lint) and Floyd Houser.

She retired after 21 years of service with the Polk County Treasurer’s Office. Beverly was a member of the Polk City Birthday Club, Polk City American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 232. She loved spending time with her family and attending her grandsons’ sporting events.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 49 years, David Easter; children, Scott (Carol) Easter, Beth Ann (Terry) Knuth; grandsons, Zachary Easter, Austin and Mitchel Knuth; and a brother, Bill (Barb) Houser. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Alice Houser.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 13, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines with burial at Union Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice in loving memory of Beverly.
