Karen Sue Ocheskey-Holland, 48, of Slater passed away Sunday, August 8 in Owatonna, MN. Visitation was held Wednesday, August 11, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Funeral Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Slater.

Karen was born in Des Moines June 24, 1962 to Edward A. and Virginia (Kramer) Ocheskey. She married Mark Holland, August 4, 1984 and worked as a Senior Pension Administrator at Principal Insurance Co. She enjoyed shopping, being outdoors — especially tanning, traveling and having a good time with family and friends. She was a very avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Karen is survived by her mother, Virginia Ocheskey; husband, Mark; daughter, Maren; son, Cramer; sisters, Wanda “Kay” Kimberly of Slater and Mary Knickerbocker of Norwalk; two brothers, Jerry Ocheskey of Cardwell, MT and Darrell (Diane) Ocheskey of Des Moines; her in-laws, Marv and Norma Holland of Ames, Mike Holland of Slater and Dave (Jamie) Holland of Slater; nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Ocheskey in 2000. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.

Soderstrum Riis Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
