Died.

At the residence of Mr. Gardner Thayer, in Grant township, on Friday evening, September 24th, at 5 p. m., Mr. Willis M. Knox, aged 26 years, of Shreve, Ohio.

Mr. Knox was a young man of excellent education, having spent several years in college, but like many others had contracted a habit of intemperance, which caused him to leave home in the vain effort to gain self-control and start anew in the world. He had engaged to work for Mr. Thayer, was taken sick, and lived only about two weeks. His father arrived Saturday morning and took his remains back to his boyhood home for burial.
