The Nevada Representative, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, September 8, 1880.

Sudden Death. - On the 26th ult. Mr. Christian Knutson, who lived about two miles north-east of Sheldahl, came from there towards night seemingly as well as usual. As it was very warm he told his wife that he would sleep up stairs, but nothing strange was thought of that, for he has often done so when the weather was oppressively hot. He appeared to be in ordinary health when he retired, but in the morning he failed to appear at the usual time. When breakfast was ready Mrs. Knutson went up to call him, and found him lying on his right side, dead, judging from his appearance he had died without a struggle. I sympathize with his wife, Mrs. Bertha Knutson, for this is not her first sudden affliction. Three years ago her first husband, Nelse Ersland, died suddenly, and her son, going after a load of wood, the horses became frightened and ran away, and he fell off the coupling pole and broke his neck.
